Where to start?
After a day or two of getting to know Lima (and a party that didn't end till after 3:00...) I started to get a feel for the town. The buses are a bit hectic, but ask just about anyone and they will help you.
Miraflores is seemingly the place to be, and the lovely Parque Kennedy is one of my favorites in the world now. At any point you can find any activity there, including pet adoptions, and live bands.
Another part of town I really loved was Barranco. The food was great, and even found an all natural store and a separate vegan restaurant to go with it.
The coffee in Peru is as incredible as the fruit. In fact, everything here is great. I've easily started to add a few pounds just from the sheer deliciousness of food. Oops.
I didn't spend too much time in Peru, and used it as a time to wind down before heading home. I did manage to get a surf in... That is not an easy task.
Surfing is so incredibly taxing, but fun. I loved it. I did not like being dragged across the rocks and ocean floor, however. The good with the bad, right?
The markets were nice, too. The fruit there is incredible. Also the best avocados I've ever eaten. I already miss it.
Being the terrible vegan I am, I had some ceviche and let me tell you; I'm glad I did. That stuff is incredible.
Lima is a wonderful town. I want to go back and I hope to in the future. There's a farm there that I visited and I've been welcomed back whenever I want. The cherry moya on that farm is phenomenal. I need a thesaurus to describe Lima.
